The High Calling of God

**I came across this note on Facebook via Jose Palos. This has really...blessed my lifeeeee!! So glad I read it [much needed read]. Be content with who YOU are in Christ.. no two stories are alike, no two walks are alike... once again, be content with WHO YOU are in Christ...!**

OTHERS MAY, YOU CANNOT - G. D. Watson
If God has called you to be truly like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility. He will put on you such demands of obedience that you will not be allowed to follow other Christians. In many ways, He seems to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

Others who seem to be very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires, and scheme to carry out their plans, but you cannot. If you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.

Others can brag about themselves, their work, their successes, their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing. If you begin to do so, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money, or having a legacy left to them, or in having luxuries, but God may supply you only on a day-to-day basis, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, a helpless dependence on Him and His unseen treasury.

The Lord may let others be honored and put forward while keeping you hidden in obscurity because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade.

God may let others be great, but keep you small. He will let others do a work for Him and get the credit, but He will make you work and toil without knowing how much you are doing. Then, to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work which you have done; this to teach you the message of the Cross, humility, and something of the value of being cloaked with His nature. The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you, and with a jealous love rebuke you for careless words and feelings, or for wasting your time which other Christians never seem distressed over.

So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign and has a right to do as He pleases with His own, and that He may not explain to you a thousand things which may puzzle your reason in His dealings with you. God will take you at your word; if you absolutely sell yourself to be His slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love and let other people say and do many things that you cannot. Settle it forever; you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue or chaining your hand or closing your eyes in ways which others are not dealt with. However, know this great secret of the Kingdom: When you are so completely possessed with the Living God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of heaven, the high calling of God.

Don't reprimand judge me..!!

This is all IN LOVE you guys, if you get mad, it's conviction...receive it...and just.. read your Bible.. PLEASE!!

Okay, so... I've been seeing/hearing/getting this a lot... "But the Bible says 'Do not judge' .." uhm.. okay... but...is that the only sentence you've read out Bible... obviously it must be because if you read after "Judge not, that ye be not judged" [Matthew 7:1--one of the MOST POPULAR scriptures for lukewarm believers lol] you would know it goes on to say: Matthew 7:3-5 "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." OK so..what is this saying?? DO NOT pass judgment on your brothers and sisters if you are doing those same things..or even worse things yourself.  Otherwise, that would make you a HYPOCRITE!!

Check this out Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. --> WOW... well look-a-there! The LORD... LOVES judgment...!! :-o  Now look at this Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. Is it starting to hurt yet?? hahaha =^)

I Corinthians 5:11-13 "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person." So..what is this saying?? If YOU call yourself a Christian/brethren but you participate in worldly, sinful activities, it is OK for your brethren [your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ] to tell you what you are doing is wrong! Mmm Mmm, this spiritual food sure is GOOD!! :-P

CONTRADICTION ALERT: when you say "do not judge me," aren't you judging me [or the person suspected of passing judgment] by saying I'm judging you?? LOL so...you're being a hypocrite yourself when you tell someone not to judge YOU, yet you JUDGE THEM by saying they're judging you...!! Stop using the whole "don't judge me" defense just so you can continue to live in sin.

Moreover, for all you LUKEWARM believers... who use the whole "the Bible says Do not judge" and "God knows my heart" justifications.. here's something for YOU!! :) Revelations 3:15-16 "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." You cannot call yourself a Christian and say you love God, but you live in sin and you ENJOY your selfish sinful pleasures and get high off self-gratification. C'MON CHURCH!! WE have got to do better. WE are the body! [I Corinthians 12:12] And my brother, my sister, I'm here to help YOU, and I want YOU to help ME! Correct me when I am wrong and I will do the same for you. It's all out of love you guys. If you KNEW better, you'd DO better. SO please people, read your Bible. You can even read the Bible online now...it's so easily accessible so there is really NO excuse. SEEK wisdom, accept the truth, make a change, and move forward!!

I LOVE y'all!!

What does "Oatmeal & CinnamonSugar" MEAN!?

Since people have been asking...here it is... :)

So... Oatmeal is something that is good for you, right? I believe majority of us were forced, or willingly ate oatmeal when we were younger. In order to make oatmeal more pleasant, some added sugar, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon sugar, strawberries, et cetera. So, in this case, I'm bringing to my readers something that is good for them...and I add a bit of sweetness to help it go down easier. I pray that with my boldness, yet touch of sweetness, it will reach those who tend to straddle the fence and realize that being a lukewarm believer just won't cut it.

Oatmeal = The Truth
Cinnamon Sugar = Love

Uhm..no title.. yet..?

LORD, I don't know what your calling is for me
I feel like it's something I'm not expecting, when will you let me see?
Steadily I've been losing a lot of people who were once close to me.
I was told that once I start my walk with you, I would have to give up everything
But the beauty of it all, would be the anointing
So strengthen me LORD, and keep me strong
I'll continue to pray that this emotional roller coaster, won't last too long
I Thank You for those who you allow to encourage me
Like my best friend, my parents, my brother(s)/sisters [in Christ] who see...
That this transition...isn't very easy for me
I've been forced to sit in this corner, and often times I feel like a loner
But then I feel you and can hear you say,
"My child, not much longer will you feel this way"
So LORD, take me by my hand
Help me see, help me understand
Your will, Your thoughts, and Your Master Plan
"Continue to trust in God. God will bring you through"
The most encouraging word I've ever heard
And those...were from You...
As I looked out the window and saw nothing but the darkness of the night sky
I saw one star, one single star..yeah, that little light of mine
And it shined and shined 2 nights in a row
You were there with me, now I know
So as I write these words to encourage myself
I realize that time will tell on itself
I'll continue to stand strong, head up, shoulders back
Pushing forward...
Staying on the RIGHT path

My Photoshoot

Well, I was in Connecticut for about a week. Along with the Youth Conference, I had to get started on my portfolio...so...this post contains SOME of the pictures..  The following were taken in Elizabeth Park [in Connecticut]...it is such a BEAUTIFUL park!

Please know...that EVERYTHING I do, is for the glory of God...so if this road tries to take me off track...know that, if it comes down to God.. or wherever this road leads.. I'll drop everything and continue to live clean.

[The rest were taken at Wadsworth Museum in Connecticut]

My First Sermon

Here are my notes from my first sermon :)
I've added comments to further explain what I was talking about.

[Opening scripture read by my little cousin] Ephesians 6:1-15

So, what does “NO” mean?  To reject, refuse approval, or express disapproval of; not in any degree or manner; not at all. (dictionary.com)

James 1:12-13
 *Verse 13 GOD DOES NOT TEMPT YOU. IT’S THE DEVIL{submitting to/serving the devil}
-When you submit to sin, you serve the devil.

(My definition of temptation) -What is temptation? Seduction into thinking something is good for you and is used to lure you away from the word of God. (You're tempted to have one last drink even though you’ve already had 5, tempted to smoke that blunt not knowing if it’s laced with anything)
-A lot of the time, we put ourselves in situations where we willingly submit to temptation. Example: Guy meets girl… they enjoy each others company and start hanging out on a regular basis. They begin spending a lot of idle time with each other and develop deep feelings for the other (especially for girls). All a guy has to do is show a girl some attention and her nose is wide open. Putting yourself in these types of situations endangers your salvation and more than likely leads to fornication.

I Corinthians 6:18-20 [James 4:7 submit yourselves to God resist the devil he will flee from you]
-Don't you know that God dwells in everybody?!

YOU'RE HAVING SEX WITH A NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHILE GOD IS IN YOUR BODY! YOU BELONG TO GOD! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT CHRIST DIED FOR THIS VERY REASON? WHY WOULD YOU TAKE IT SO LIGHTLY. FORNICATION IS JUST AS BAD AS EVERY OTHER SIN.

REMEMBER KAMARIA: SILENT TESTIMONIES NEVER SAVED SOULS…
(I didn't thoroughly discuss my testimony, I just scraped the surface. I didn't feel compelled to fully discuss this yet)

Talk about how hard it is to serve God…
-We all know living righteous isn't easy. It's not meant to be easy but it is possible. It's about knowing when to say "No"
-I also discussed how music plays a part in this as well.

-Revelations 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
-"HE THAT OVERCOMES!!" is key here!

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in threat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(I can't remember what I said after this hahaha, sorry)

**Then I did a little Q&A session.**

I would say "The end" But I believe there will be more to come. As I hold on to the words Pastor Anthony Garcia told me before I took my first leap into the pulpit.. "It is up to you to move forward!" as well as what my aunt and cousins told me...this is just the beginning... PTL (Praise The Lord) Amen!
